CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank is looking for a mission-driven Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join the Communications & Development team.
The Psychiatric Technician is responsible for welcoming and engaging with clients entering the GuideLink Center, completing a brief history of the presenting crisis, assisting with crisis de-escalation, and performing screenings to include a suicide risk screening, a brief mental health screening, a brief physical health screening and recording of vital signs. The Psychiatric Technician will connect clients with the appropriate level of care based on initial screening.
CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank is seeking individuals interested in the position of Iowa City Police Department Mental Health Liaison
This position, through partnership with Iowa City Police Department, will improve outcomes on mental health related calls for service and divert persons who need support and treatment from the emergency room and jail. Under the supervision of the Mobile Crisis Coordinator, the Mental Health Law Enforcement Liaison will work with assigned police officers to provide crisis intervention, referral and support to individuals in our community.
This position provides counseling to clients on dispatch calls in community settings where the crisis is occurring.
