The STOP (Secondary Trauma of Providers) group is focused on providing a safe and confidential space for providers to meet and process their experiences of working with people with trauma. The emphasis will be on supporting one another to normalize the affects that working with trauma victims can have, decrease the affects of secondary trauma and to integrate self care into providers’ lives.
Periodically, educational opportunities will be provided to learn more about trauma and ways to help decrease it’s affect on clients and providers. Educational opportunities will be provided by group facilitators and outside speakers.
