Organizing an office food drive is probably easier than you think and The Crisis Center is here to help: Learn more and get started.
Your workplace can make a difference for local kids in need this February.
Each February, The Crisis Center asks the community do donate peanut butter and jelly as part of our Spread the Love campaign. Peanut butter is a nutritious and affordable protein source and it’s great for kids and families.
Organizing a workplace food drive is convenient and rewarding for staff. Employees at the City of Iowa City have hosted PB&J drives each February since 2014 and its grown into one of The Crisis Center’s most successful community projects – last year, city staff contributed more than 500 pounds of peanut butter and jelly to the Food Bank.
“We all go to the grocery store and it is so easy to pick up an extra jar or two of peanut butter and jelly. Our city departments really come together to support the drive and it provides our employees with an opportunity to make a difference by giving back to the community. And really, it just feel good to give to others! It is a win/win campaign!!!“
