Volunteer at a Mobile Pantry
CommUnity’s Mobile Pantry is a “pop-up” pantry that travels to locations throughout Johnson County. Volunteers can sign up for a variety of duties. Duties may include unloading on-site, checking clients in, stocking, helping clients shop, and loading the van. Mobile Pantry volunteers must be 16+ to sign up and can accommodate groups up to 4. Shifts are available Tuesday through Friday from April through October.

Ecumenical Towers: 2nd Tuesday 3:30-5pm
Breckenridge Estates: 2nd Wednesday 4-5:30pm
Regency: 2nd Thursday 4-5:30pm
Autumn Park Apartments: 2nd Friday 1-2pm
Western Hills: 3rd Wednesday 4-5:30pm
Capitol House Apartments: 3rd Friday 3-4:30pm
Cole’s Community: 3rd Tuesday 4-5:30pm
Lake Ridge Estates: 4th Thursday 4:30-5:30pm
Inclement weather policy: The Mobile Pantry will be closed when the Iowa City Community School District cancels school due to inclement weather conditions. The Mobile Pantry may close or cancel due to severe weather or tornado warnings. The Mobile Pantry will remain open during extreme cold, unless otherwise noted on CommUnity’s website.
