A Message to Our Volunteers
Volunteer Appreciation Week is one of our favorite times of the year at CommUnity Food Bank and for good reason. It’s a chance to pause and recognize the incredible people who make this work possible every single day.
Behind every bag of groceries distributed, every shelf stocked, and every family served, there’s a volunteer giving their time, energy, and compassion. Whether it’s sorting donations, packing food boxes, assisting at mobile pantries, or lending a hand at special events, our volunteers show up to make sure our neighbors have access to the food they need.
Some volunteers give a few hours when they can, while others have become part of the very fabric of our organization. No matter the number of hours, every act of service adds up to something bigger: a stronger, more nourished community.
Volunteer Appreciation Week isn’t just about saying “thank you,” it’s about celebrating the spirit of generosity that drives our mission forward. It’s about recognizing that this work doesn’t happen alone. It takes a community of people who care deeply and act on that care in meaningful ways.
To all of our volunteers, thank you for showing up, for stepping in, and for making a difference. Your kindness fuels everything we do together.
