Little Sluggers Club

We’re excited to launch a brand-new way for kids to join the fight against hunger during Strike Out Hunger! This year, children can join the Little Slugger’s Club, a fun, interactive activity booklet to help kids learn about food insecurity while making a difference in their community.

Along the way, kids can complete activities to earn local prizes. It’s a fun way for families to get involved, learn together, and help strike out hunger in our community!

We have partnered with local businesses that will provide rewards for kids as they complete each activity. Rewards will range from free ice cream cones to a ticket to the Kernel’s game!

How Do I Participate?

1. Join the club by June 30 to be considered for prizes

2. Print the activity booklet

(also available at CommUnity Food Bank, Hills Bank on Riverside Drive, Dream City, Iowa City Public Library, Coralville Public Library, and North Liberty Public Library while supplies last)

3. Complete local activities

4. Turn in your booklet by July 27 to win prizes
