Mobile Food Pantry
Our mobile sites operate all year long.
The Mobile Food Pantry provides monthly grocery assistance to residents of underserved and/or rural residential areas in Johnson County. The Mobile Pantry offers a variety of perishable and non-perishable food items, as well as baby and household items. Clients may choose the items that work best for their family with some limits based on availability.

First-Time Visit Information
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to closing so we have enough time to complete a brief check-in and ensure you can shop comfortably.
During your visit, we will ask for your name, birth date, phone number (if you wish to sign up for text alerts), and a few other quick questions.
Once you are checked in, you will be able to shop for the food you need.
Inclement weather policy: The Mobile Pantry will be closed when the Iowa City Community School District cancels school due to inclement weather conditions. The Mobile Pantry may close or cancel due to severe weather or tornado warnings. The Mobile Pantry will remain open during extreme cold, unless otherwise noted on CommUnity’s website.If the Mobile Pantry cancels or reschedules, those signed up for text alerts will be notified.
