CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank is excited to announce the opening a second Food Bank location in the Pepperwood Plaza in the South District of Iowa City. This new location at 1045 Highway 6 East in Iowa City will provide a larger space for clients, volunteers and staff to practice social distancing. With the opening of the new site, CommUnity plans to return to “client choice,” which is a service model that allows clients to select all of their own items. This will better meet each individual’s unique dietary needs and decrease food waste that can occur with providing pre-packaged bags of food. The option to enter the building will be especially important as we enter the winter months, providing a warm and safe atmosphere while clients shop.
The new location will open on November 9, 2020.

Monday: 12pm to 4:30pm
Tuesday: 12pm to 7pm
Wednesday: 12pm to 4:30pm
Thursday: 9:30am to 4:30pm
Friday: 12pm to 4:30pm
Saturday: 9:30am to 2pm
