Spread the Love is CommUnity’s annual community-wide peanut butter and jelly drive.
Peanut butter is a great item to donate to the Food Bank – it’s relatively affordable and it’s a good source of protein and other important nutrients. Plus, peanut butter is a favorite for many families with children – especially if you throw in some jelly.
“We all go to the grocery store and it is so easy to pick up an extra jar or two of peanut butter and jelly. Our city departments really come together to support the drive and it provides our employees with an opportunity to make a difference by giving back to the community. And really, it just feel good to give to others! It is a win/win campaign!”
