It's spring time! That means baby showers, picnics, rain, flowers, sunshine, all the fun seasonal things, right? While it can be a very exciting time for a lot of folks, this can also look very different for others who are raising children.
According to recent data from 2023, 1 in 2 U.S. families with young children cannot afford enough diapers to keep their infant or child clean, dry, and healthy. These babies are more vulnerable to painful rashes and urinary tract infections and have more trips to the doctor. 1 in 4 parents miss work or school because they can’t afford the diapers required to leave their baby in Childcare. Having a clean diaper is a basic need of every baby and toddler.
Every April, CommUnity Crisis Services hosts a fundraiser to collect baby products, hence 'CommUnity Baby Shower'! During this time, we ask that you help by donating things like diapers, formula, wipes, and anything else that a baby might need. Clean diapers are a basic need of every baby and you can help make a difference in their lives.
