Giving Tuesday is a day that brings people and organizations together to help transform their communities and the world. Created in 2012, Giving Tuesday began as a day that encourages people to do good. Now, this day has grown into a global movement that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Giving Tuesday takes place on December 1st and this year, donations raised will support Project Holiday.
With the support of our generous sponsor MidWestOneBank, our community, and the efforts of volunteers and staff at CommUnity, we hope to provide more than 1,500 Johnson County families with complete holiday meals.
A donation of $25 is enough to purchase a meal for one local family that might not otherwise get to enjoy a special holiday meal. You can donate to Project Holiday here.
Looking for other ways to help? CommUnity is always in need of volunteers. Sign up for a shift in the Food Bank at bit.ly/pepperwoodpantry.
Below are more ways to give that don’t include a financial gift:
1- Follow us on social media and share our #GivingTuesday posts.
2- Designate CommUnity as your favorite nonprofit on AmazonSmile.
3- Share CommUnity’s email newsletter with someone new.
4- Our friends at Chomp are donating $1 to CommUnity for every food order placed on Giving Tuesday (December 1, 2020).
We are incredibly grateful for all of the support we receive from donors, volunteers, and community members. We would not be able to provide our services without you. We sincerely thank you for your support this holiday season.
