CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank has earned International Council for Helplines (ICH) re-accreditation for their Crisis Intervention phone, chat and text helpline services.
March 5-6, 2021, from sundown to sundown is National Day of Unplugging – an event that has been going on for just over a decade. The goal is to promote unplugging yourself from technology for 24 hours in an effort to assist people in recharging their mental, physical, and spiritual batteries.
Trauma, in its many shapes and forms, is often caused by a single experience or series of events that leaves the survivor feeling anxious, depressed, shameful, or hypervigilant. The spectrum for what trauma looks like is as wide as it is long, but there are elements that tie all forms of trauma together.
It’s almost Valentine’s Day, a holiday that can bring up both comfortable and uncomfortable emotions depending on your situation. Loneliness is absolutely a normal and understandable feeling to experience during this time, whether it’s because of your relationship status or the number of friends in your life.
